Submitting Your Image as a Digital File
The first step involves sending us your digital image. A digital image can be a digital photograph, scan of artwork, or even a computer-generated graphic.
Scanning your photo or original art usually yields the best reproduction however an experienced photographer with the proper equipment may be able to provide something close to if not just as good. If your artwork is small enough and you can scan it yourself with a desktop scanner, do so.
Photos taken with smartphones are rendered at 72 dpi. If you want to use a photo taken with your phone, we have a new service that will convert your image from 72 dpi to 300 dpi. An additional fee of $35 is charged for that service.
If you prefer to try your hand at photographing your artwork yourself, we recommend please first spend some time researching online on how to properly photograph artwork. In the rare instance, people have returned prints that are reproductions of artwork in almost every case it is because they photographed the artwork improperly, did not carefully check it for flaws (out of focus in areas, uneven light reflecting off it), or did not do any post-photography editing. The prints produced by our printing process are highly precise so will only be as good as the file you send.

Turnaround Time
Because quality is important to us, our print partner inspects all packages and their contents prior to shipment. If at any point during production, your print does not meet our quality standards, the print is re-printed. This can occasionally cause a minor delay. Other exceptions include situations such as custom orders (special orders for printing not listed on this site), orders which have a high quantity of prints that require some sort of mounting, and orders during the Holidays.
Please note these are estimates based on current averages. If you need to place an order but need an accurate estimate of the turnaround time, contact us with the specifics of what you plan to order. We can give you an estimate of the time required to get your order out the door.
